2018 Subaru Impreza

Subaru introduces all-new models on a five year cycle, and so it was when the 2017 Impreza rolled out of the Lafayette, Indiana plant with changes top to bottom, sales of the Impreza skyrocketed! Sitting on Subaru's new Global Platform gave the Impreza vastly improved stability and handling and a quieter ride. Combined with a sportier look, more safety features, and more power, it's no wonder the Impreza is the best selling all-wheel drive in it's class.   2017 Accolades included...
- Japan's Car Of The Year
- KBB Top 10 "Coolest Cars Under $18,000"
- KBB Top 10 Most Awarded Cars
- KBB Best Resale Value in Class
- AutoTrader Named A "Must Drive"
- IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus

That said, there will only be a few tweaks to the 2018 version. Patriot Subaru of North Attleboro takes a look!

Infotainment Upgrade -  The Impreza now comes with Apple Play and Android Auto that interfaces with Subaru's Starlink system, along with Aha, Pandora and iHeart Radio.  Other components remaining the same include the USB port and Aux. input jack, smartphone integration and bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity. iPod control and iTunes tagging capabilities.

The Impreza Limited Trim receives some extra attention for 2018.  LED headlights with the distinctive "Konoji" LED daytime running lights (DRL) and standard 17-inch machine finished alloy wheels give an overall upscale look. Chrome trim and turn signal side mirrors are refined, and add to the overall polish and sporty look.

Safety step forward with the newest generation of Eyesight®, which now provides Steering Responsive Headlights, High Beam Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Standard on the Limited trim with Eyesight is auto braking when backing up if an object is detected. This Reverse Automatic Braking is optional on other trims.
All 2018 Impreza models include as standard equipment front seat side impact airbags, side curtain airbags and a driver's knee airbag.

SUBARU STARLINK™ Connected Services comes with the Safety Plus package that provides SOS Emergency Assistance,
Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance,  Maintenance Notifications, Monthly Vehicle Health Report, and Diagnostic Alerts. You can upgrade to the Safety Plus & Security Plus package that adds Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service, Vehicle Security Alarm Notification, Remote Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn and Lights and Remote Vehicle Locator.

Horsepower increases from 148 to 152, and fuel economy edges forward.  Impressive since the Impreza already was best in class.  The 2.0i Sedan registers 38 Highway, 28 City.

We mentioned the Subaru Global Platform earlier.  You really owe it to yourself to check out this dramatic change for Subaru. While improving performance and comfort, it will also reduce costs to build - which in turn helps to hold prices down.

Improvements - and yet Subaru sees only a price increase of $100 over last year. It truly is remarkable how Subaru continues - on all models - to keep prices down, while confidently striding forward with a model line of winner's across the board.
